What a standard installation costs
One figure for the charger and the work, not a range you find out the truth about later.
For the Easee charger and a standard installation, carried out to a documented standard we set and check.
That is the figure you pay us. The SEAI home-charger grant of €300 is separate: it comes back to you from SEAI, not off our invoice. How that works is directly below.
- 1You apply to SEAI for the home-charger grant yourself. It is your grant, in your name, and the application has to be in before the work is done.
- 2You pay us the full price for the charger and the installation — €1,499 with nothing deducted at our end.
- 3SEAI reimburses you directly once the job is finished. The electrical documentation your claim depends on is completed as part of the job, so the paperwork is done for you.
Current lead time is 2–3 weeks from the day your install is confirmed.
Slots are booked in the order they are confirmed.
Confirmed means your photos have been checked, your price is agreed, and the job is booked in. The clock starts there, not at first enquiry.

What a standard install looks like
Three things about your house decide it, and most Irish homes have all three.
Somewhere off the road to park
- Off-street parking — a driveway, garage or your own dedicated space
Electrics with room for one more circuit
- A fuse board in good order, with space in it for one more breaker
- An earth rod already fitted at the property
A short run from the meter box
- A cable run of no more than 10 metres from the meter box to the car
Where all of that holds, the job is standard and it is €1,499 fitted. Where one of them doesn't, it isn't, and we price that part separately before we start — never quietly added to the bill afterwards.

Home EV charging FAQ
Do I need off-street parking?+
Yes, a home charger needs a driveway, garage or dedicated space where the cable can reach your car safely. The photos you send confirm this for your property.
Which charger will I get?+
A 7 kW smart charger, the standard for Irish homes on a single-phase supply, which is the ordinary domestic supply most Irish homes have. We'll recommend a specific unit, tethered or untethered, from the photos you send.
How long will I wait for my install?+
Current lead time is 2-3 weeks from the day your install is confirmed. Slots are booked in the order they are confirmed. The fit itself usually takes a few hours, with minimal disruption.
Who applies for the SEAI grant?+
You do. The SEAI Home Charger Grant of up to €300 is applied for by the homeowner, in your own name, and the application needs to be in before the work is done. You pay us the full price for the charger and the installation, and SEAI reimburses you directly once the job is finished. Can I charge from my solar panels?+
Yes, that's the best bit. A smart charger can prioritise your surplus solar, so the car runs on the electricity your roof made. We do solar, battery and charging together, so it's one joined-up system.
Will it work with my car?+
Yes, a standard Type 2 home charger works with every EV and plug-in hybrid sold in Ireland, including the full BYD range.
