BYD Driver Launch Offer

1. The promoter

This offer is run by Motor Distributors Ltd, trading as BYD · MDL Energy Ireland (“we”, “us”, “BYD Energy Ireland”), of Naas Road, Dublin 12, Ireland. Company registration number [company reg. no.]; VAT number [VAT no.]. You can reach us at hello@bydenergy.ie.

2. What the offer is

Eligible BYD drivers can receive one €500 voucher to be applied as a discount against the total installed price of a qualifying solar PV and battery storage system supplied and installed by BYD Energy Ireland at a property in the Republic of Ireland.

The voucher is not cash, has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred or sold. Only one voucher applies per person, per vehicle, per household and per installation address.

3. Offer period

The offer opens on [start date] and closes at 23:59 (Irish time) on [end date], or earlier if the promotional allocation is exhausted. To use a voucher you must book your free survey by [survey deadline] and complete your installation by [install deadline]. Vouchers not used within these periods lapse automatically. We may extend, shorten, pause or close the offer early (see clause 12).

4. Who is eligible

To qualify you must, at the time of claiming and of installation, meet all of the following:

• be aged 18 or over and resident in the Republic of Ireland;
• be a genuine BYD driver, that is, the registered owner or keeper (or the named primary driver) of a BYD vehicle registered in the Republic of Ireland, or a person who has purchased, or placed a firm and paid order for, a new or used BYD vehicle from an authorised Irish BYD dealer within the offer period;
• be the owner of the property where the system is to be installed, or have the property owner’s written consent, and that property must be in the Republic of Ireland; and
• pass our technical survey and suitability checks (clause 8).

The offer is not open to employees, agents or immediate family/household members of Motor Distributors Ltdor of any participating BYD dealer, or to trade, resale, landlord-portfolio or commercial customers.

5. Conditional vouchers

Where a voucher is issued to a person who has enquired about, but not yet completed the purchase of, a BYD vehicle, the voucher is conditional and only becomes valid once that vehicle purchase has completed and been paid for in full. If the vehicle purchase does not complete, the voucher is void.

6. Proof required to redeem

Before a voucher is applied, we will ask you to provide, to our reasonable satisfaction:

• the unique voucher code issued to you (see clause 10);
• proof of your BYD vehicle: the Vehicle Registration Certificate (VRC/logbook), or a dated dealer invoice or order confirmation, in your name;
• valid photo identification; and
• proof that your home address matches the installation property (for example a recent utility bill).

The names and address on your vehicle proof, your ID and the installation must correspond. We may request original documents and may decline a voucher where the required proof is not provided.

7. The qualifying system and how the voucher is applied

The voucher is valid only against a combined home solar PV and battery storage system supplied and installed by BYD Energy Ireland (Motor Distributors Ltd), with a minimum total installed price of €[minimum spend] (after any SEAI grant and before the voucher is applied).

The voucher applies to that home solar and battery installation only. It does not count towards, and cannot be used against, any other works of any kind, including (without limitation) solar-only or battery-only systems, EV chargers, standalone products, accessories, servicing or maintenance, electrical, roofing, general building or home-improvement works, a booking deposit alone, or any work carried out by anyone other than BYD Energy Ireland (Motor Distributors Ltd).

The €500 is applied as a discount on your final installation invoice, and only once the installation has been completed and paid for in full by you. It is not paid in advance, is not applied to any booking deposit, and is not refundable in cash if you later cancel. One voucher applies per installation, and the voucher cannot be combined with any other BYD Energy Ireland discount, promotion or voucher unless we say so in writing.

8. Subject to survey and suitability

Every installation is subject to a technical survey and to your property being suitable, and to a separate written quotation and installation contract. Any figures we give beforehand are indicative only. If your property is not suitable, or you choose not to proceed, the voucher lapses and there is no cash alternative.

9. SEAI grants

The voucher is a discount offered by BYD Energy Ireland only. It is separate from, and does not change, any SEAI grant you may be entitled to. SEAI grants are administered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland under its own rules and eligibility criteria. 10. Vouchers, codes and anti-fraud

Each voucher carries a unique, single-use code that is personal to the named recipient. Photocopied, screenshotted, altered, damaged, defaced, expired or duplicate vouchers will not be accepted, and only one valid original code will be honoured per person.

We may verify eligibility at any time, and we may refuse, withhold, cancel or reclaim a voucher (or an equivalent amount) where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, tampering, duplication, resale or transfer, use of a code issued to someone else, ineligibility, or any other breach or abuse of these terms, or where a voucher has been issued in error. In cases of suspected fraud we may also decline to proceed with an installation and notify the relevant authorities.

11. Limits and availability

The offer is subject to availability and to a limited promotional allocation of [number] vouchers. Once the allocation is used, the offer closes even if the end date has not been reached.

12. Changes to the offer

We may amend, suspend, extend or withdraw this offer, or change these terms, at any time and without prior notice, for legal or regulatory reasons, for genuine business reasons, or for events outside our reasonable control. Any change will not affect a voucher that has already been validly applied to a signed installation contract.

13. Liability and your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law, or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising in connection with this offer.

14. Data protection

We process any personal data you give us in connection with this offer in line with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

This offer and these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
