1. About these terms

This website is operated by Motor Distributors Ltd (trading as BYD · MDL Energy Ireland), of Naas Road, Dublin 12, Ireland. By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Using the website

You may use this website for lawful, personal and informational purposes only. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it other than through the interface we provide.

3. Calculators and estimates are indicative

Our savings calculator, finance calculator and any quote tools provide indicative estimates only, based on the assumptions shown and the information you enter. They are not a quotation, an offer, financial advice, or a guarantee of savings, system performance, grant eligibility or finance approval.

Actual savings depend on your property, energy use, tariffs, weather and system design. Grant amounts are set by the SEAI and subject to its eligibility rules. Your exact figures are confirmed only after a survey and a written quotation.

4. Finance

Where we show finance options or a representative example, any figures are illustrative and subject to status, affordability and credit assessment. Finance is provided by Bank of Ireland under a separate agreement, and Motor Distributors Ltd acts as a credit intermediary. Nothing on this site is an offer of credit.

5. Intellectual property

The content, design, logos and trade marks on this site are owned by Motor Distributors Ltd, its group or its licensors, and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our permission, except as permitted for your own personal, non-commercial use.

6. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites (for example vehicle model pages). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; you access them at your own risk.

7. No warranty

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness or availability of the site, and exclude implied warranties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the indicative estimates or content on this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
